This is me! The Slayer Of People’s Names! 
So, I have this condition wherein I can never remember a persons name fully but I have the uncanny ability to remember their entire horoscope! Okay! Not horoscope but the details about them, like how many children they have, where they work, what their issues are at home and at work, where they have been, etc etc…. But their names? Hmmmm…. Will need a few business years for that! 
Today, I called the service technician for my hob and chimney. This is a guy whom I have been calling for always! Known guy, simple fellow, not among the brighter ones among his species but does a decent job, most importantly listens to me and will do what he knows! Like I will tell him, please check the knob, it’s become tight and he will diligently clean everything and tell me I just have to apply a little pressure when I turn the knob! So, yeah, he’s reliable and cost effective!
Thing is, I have saved his number as Saifu on my phone because I thought that’s his name. And every time I’ve called him, I’ve literally sung Saifu to him! I’ve always been like Hi Saifu! Aaj thoda servicing kar sakte ho? And he’ll be like Jee madam! Subah nahin, shaam ko aata hoon! And I hang up knowing Saifu is coming in the evening and I must clean the kitchen before he comes in!
After three years of calling him Saifu, today I saw his name on MyGate and it said Rafiq!!! Imagine!! He calls himself Rafiq and has been responding to my Saifu!! So I asked him gently, bhaiyya aapka naam kya hai? And he smiled and said Rafiq! Then I said but maine aapko Saifu bulaya hai itne saal! Aapne kyun toka nahin? And you know what he said?
He said “Aap humare boss ka bhi naam badal ke bulate ho! Unka naam Govind hai aur aap unko Girish bulate ho! Toh maine socha shayad aap aise hi ho! 
Aur waise bhi Saifu achcha hi naam hai! Chod dijiye!”
I’m seriously considering changing the agency but then wondering if I’ll get a decent technician 
PS : the names have been changed to protect their identity
